Painted en plein air (outdoors) at Abberton Nature
Reserve, Essex this original work was painted sitting in the scrub with skylarks popping
up into the air around me and a pheasant scratching around in the hedge at my back. My last painting of the afternoon, the clouds were
shadowed and violet in the fading light.
